Testimonials & Reviews

Kind Words from Happy Customers

Just a few of the many comments emailed to us from satisfied customers.

The Black Cab Tour was exceptional and I loved it! It was fun, profound, enlightening and engaging. Andrew deserves particular praise – he delivered the tour with aplomb, humour and passion, carefully pitching the content of the tour to resonate with my interests. I loved the visit to St Clement Danes Church, a building I have walked past numerous times but had no idea of its fascinating history nor of the poignant treasures that are contained within. Equally the walking tour around St James Street, visiting the hatters, cigar shop, shoe shop and wine merchants was fascinating. Please pass on my thanks to Andrew – he is a great advert for London, was good company throughout the tour and palpably loves what he does.

Our family of five recently visited London on our way to catch a cruise around the British Isles. We arrived a day early to devote an extra day to the beautiful and interesting city of London. We were lucky to have Andrew as our guide. We were so happy with his ability to show us as many of the sites and sounds of the city as he could in our very fun filled day. He was well prepared with fascinating stories, photos and CD's. His bits and pieces of information kept all of us interested including the youngest of our group our 10 year old. We will definitely remember this as one of the highlights of our trip.
The Novaro and Jenkins Family
Thanks again for two wonderful days. I always highly recommended your tours to any friends and family that are travelling to London. On another note, I just finished reading the second of the two books written by the Countess of Carnarvon and loved the historical background of the castle and the family. Utterly fascinating!

Gordon was extremely knowledgeable and had many facts. I felt we were able to see all of the highlights of London we wanted to see. Gordon tailored the tour to meet our interests and took us to a couple non traditional spots we didn’t expect to see. He was willing to take many photos of us. It was a great tour!!!
We all had a great time , Laughed loads while having fun the whole tour :) Thank you so much :) Everything about our tour was really amazing !!!

Fantastic tour of London. The guide gave us a thorough understanding of Harry Potters universe and of history throughout London.
Guide was amazing! He knew so much about the city that i wish we could have spent the week with him. Saw some great bond sights, learned some great bond trivia, fantastic pictures that he took will give us memories for a lifetime. I would recommend this company to anyone.
This was a wonderful tour that not only took me through the festive lights of the interest points of London but as a first time visitor to England was extremely informative. The gentleman who was my tour guide, Mick Greenwood was not only very well versed in the areas of London but was more interested in what I would enjoy seeing rather than going from point A to B. If I ever get the chance to return to London I would use this agency in a heart beat. The guide makes the tour and Mick was outstanding.
The Christmas Lights in London Tour Tour
FIRST TOUR WAS SO GREAT WE BOOKED A SECOND!... I booked a private tour of London titled "The London of the Beatles, Sherlock Homes and James Bond" as a surprise for my partner's birthday without knowing what to expect. We are from the states and visiting London for the first time. Our tour guide, Richard, was beyond amazing. He was early and had a pristine Mercedes taxi with complimentary water bottles waiting for us. He talked to us for about 5-10 minutes to gauge our knowledge of London and our interests. He then took us to see countless London sites, including Abby Road Studios. We we were so impressed that we booked a 2nd tour on our trip with Richard. We hired Richard to give us a personal tour of the Cabinet War Rooms and Churchill Muesum. The tour was terrific, worth every penny. Book with confidence! You will NOT be disappointed.
GHOST TOUR WITH A DIFFERENCE... Had no idea what to expect from this tour, just seemed a fun thing for a group of friends to do in the dark days of January and it proved well worth the booking. Our informative and highly amusing guide took us around some of the hidden City churches, down dark alleyways and hidden courtyards whilst thrilling us with tales of murders, executions and body snatching. Not to mention how many of our old sayings come from the murkier parts of London's history. We felt like our driver knew exactly what we'd like and one venue led seamlessly into another. The iconic churches were beautiful, the alleys we'd never imagine were there were intriguing and to finish off we explored the graffitti tunnels under Waterloo station. Absolutely worth every penny for a really memorable trip. Thoroughly recommended.
OUTSTANDING TOUR AND GUIDE... This perfectly chosen birthday gift -a 4 hour tour of London iconic entertainment related destinations was a real winner! Guide Jerry arrived on time at our hotel, added in a birthday gift of sweets, and showed us so many locations including Abbey Road,Carnaby Street,London Palladium, all Sherlock Holmes, Ian Fleming/ James Bond points of interest whilst expanding to Southwark with the Globe theatre. Jerry's well prepared tour along with his personal passion and depth of knowledge of many little known facts as well as a strong British history grounding made this occasion fun and memorable. We particularly appreciated Jerry's spontaneous thoughtfulness in adding in some non- entertainment highlights including the Australian War Memorial at Hyde Park Corner etc.Highly recommend this company and its tours.
AN AMAZING DAY... This was an amazing day. Our guide Steve took care of us like we were King and Queen for the day. No time was wasted, no getting lost. Put us in position at all the right spots. Made sure we saw everything that was Dr Who and Torchwood. It was so relaxing getting to place to place. This was the hi light of our trip. All though a pricey tour I will consider a black cab tour again as it was so enjoyable and stress free. Be sure to add the private Cardiff castle tour as well. You get insider scoops and allowed to go where the general public is not allowed. Thanks.
Hi Richard, greetings from wonderful New York State. I wanted to write and thank you upon arrival home from my lovely trip to London. I enjoyed my tour of London with you and my daughter-in law. It was so special to see all the places that are not a part of the usual tourist trip. (Fri. May 13th) I wish you continued good health to escort many more folks around your lovely city. Hoping that some day you WILL BE presented with that wonderful walking stick filled with a good drink of your choosing. Once again my THANKS.

Hi Richard, Hope you are well and you had a good bank holiday weekend.I am writing to say a huge thank you for a fantastic tour on Wednesday 27th. You exceeded all of my expectations, the tour was informative, personal and because of your knowledge and fantastic personality, it was a very special experience for my parents. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it too! I can't thank you enough for taking time to make a tour of London, truly unforgettable. Mum and Dad didn't stop talking about it for the rest of the week, and when we were watching the royal wedding coverage, your name was mentioned on numerous occasions in the context that you would have been far better at doing the commentary! I am sure we will be in touch in the future to learn more about London, it is a wonderful place and you bring it to life. I will also recommend you to anyone that I get the chance to, I can't speak highly enough about you. A big thank you, I am very appreciative of all that you did for us. Looking forward to seeing you in the future, but in the meantime, all the very best wishes to you.

Hi Richard, I wanted to write to let you know we got back home in one piece, we were in Heathrow when we heard about the bombs in London - and to think we were right there one week earlier. I am so sad to hear about all this it is a terrible thing. I hope that you are OK and that your business will not suffer too much due to the attacks. Well the girls (Kritiana and Brittany) just kept repeating many of the things you had taught them to our family in Liverpool and now here. They had a really good time with you and enjoyed every minute and I think you enjoyed their enthusiasm too. They just took everything in like little sponges. You made our trip in London a wonderful memory in many ways. My Dad has not stopped singing your praises to anyone who will listen and me too. I hope we will see you again. If we come to London we will be in touch that is for sure. And if you come to Canada I would be more than happy to show you around Montreal. Again Thank you for everything. Take good care of yourself.

Hi Richard, I just wanted to say THANK YOU for a wonderful tour you gave my friends and I a few weeks back (Sunday morning, January 19). We truly had a great time and enjoyed every moment. We really appreciate the time you took with us - we managed to see a lot of the city in such a short visit. We have already looked into visiting London again. We have even done a little internet research on the flats! Again, thank you for a wonderful time.

Hi Richard, Just a note to say thanks again for a very enjoyable and educational tour of London. We really appreciated your expert guidance and obvious affection for the little-known parts of your fascinating city. Our following two days there were all the richer for the discoveries you showed us. All the best to you and your family. Cheers

I just wanted to say thanks and let you know that we had a fabulous time with Richard! As usual, London Walks provided us with an excellent tour! Cheers!

Hi Richard/George, Just a quick note to thank you for such a fantastic time last Saturday. We all found it very informative, and far better than we had anticipated. Your vast knowledge and historic enthusiasm was superb. The children have enthusiastically been telling one and all the facts they have learnt, which are many. My Father was appalled at the changes to The Wig and Pen and like you failed to understand how planning permission was granted for the changes. We will keep your card and come back to you in the future should the situation arise, and will tell others of the experience.

Richard, Thank you very much for a couple of very wonderful days in your fine city! We found you to be very informative and pleasant to be around -- job well done! We are excited to see Scotland with Bob as well -- thank you for referring us to him! As an FYI, the tour guide we have lined up for Dublin/Ireland is Kieran at TourDublin.ie ...we will let you know what our experience is with him in case you have any other clients inquiring about Irish guides. Thanks again and we will definitely look you up next time we are in the area!

Hi Richard, We have all really enjoyed telling everyone about our day with you! (We also had a great time with Bob in Edinburgh, so thanks for the tip!) Emmet and Caroline love looking at our pictures of Oxford and all the Harry Potter stops. They remember the dining hall at Christ Church as a special high point of our trip (the Alice window, the Strange painting)... I loved zipping around in the taxi and leaving all the work of finding places to you. It was my most relaxing day, as I was the tour guide most of the time. We'll be sure to recommend your tours to friends heading to London, and we will definitely books some time with you on our next trip - I'm aiming for a visit every two years. I'll send the photos of Emmet at Platform 9 3/4 in a separate email. Thanks so much for a wonderful day!

Hi Richard, Many thanks for an excellent tour of London, and tour guide. When asked about his favorite time in England, my son revealed it was the tire puncture at Heathrow! Thanks again.

Hi Richard! My mom and I just wanted to say THANK YOU again for taking us around the city on Oct 23 and 24. The Tower of London tour was amazing, and wish we could have spent days there. Incredibly fascinating. Ending up at the pub was a great way to end the day. The food was delicious! We definitely enjoyed our time in London. As promised, I did forward your information (phone numbers and website) on to our travel agent, along with rave reviews. I've attached a few photo's I thought you might enjoy. A few from the Queen Mary 2 and some from the city. Cheers!

Dear Mary, Thank you for everything in the UK. We liked the tour very much. Your guide, Mr Richard Liddle is a very good and kind man. Thanks to him, we could have a great time in London. We visited Harry Potter's film location spots, Covent Garden and many other places, eat at the IVY, which is as good as its price, and went inside Buckingham Palace which is very amazing!! He was kind enough to show us how to get to the Tower Hill station. As the Thames River boat arrived late, we couldn't have joined Jack the Ripper tour if he hadn't.
Richard: Please accept our most sincere thanks for a thoroughly delightful day of learning, sights, history, humor and FUN! The entire day was a treat. We appreciate your knowledge of London and ability to share it with people that don't know the city. We look forward to future trips including our visit in April. We will let you know our plans as soon as they are final. Again, THANK YOU for a memorable day.
