Greenwich – Its Sights & Secrets

Time, Tea & Treachery

Collected from your Central London Hotel, sit back in style in the back of your Iconic London Black Taxi and take this fascinating half day tour of Greenwich.

Greenwich is a top ten UK visitor attraction. We are proud to be working in partnership with Royal Museums Greenwich, home to the Royal Observatory Greenwich, the iconic historic sailing ship Cutty Sark, the National Maritime Museum and the Queen’s House art gallery. All their attractions are located within easy walking distance of each other within this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Your guide will explain the wonderful history of the area, as you wander it’s streets. You will visit the famous ship, Cutty Sark and you will be able discover what life was like on board a Tea Clipper, the fastest ship of her time. Today the ship stands raised off the ground, allowing you access all around, both inside and out.

Your next stop is a visit to the Queens House.

We promise you will not be disappointed with this building. Displaying 22 rooms with hundreds of paintings from art masters covering the past 400 years. This is a must see on your visit.

Leaving the Queens House we move onto various other delights around the area. These include, The Painted Hall, Maritime museum, and some hidden treasures tourists usually don’t get to see. Before our returning to London we will visit the historic Royal Observatory which is the home of Time. Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) in fact. In the Meridian Courtyard you can get your photo standing on the Meridian Line, so have half your body standing on the Eastern Hemisphere, the other half in the Western Hemisphere. Your guide will escort you around the oldest parts of the site including the Astronomer Royal’s house.
